2005 5.4 running rough

2005 5.4 running rough
I just purchased a 2005 F150 with a 5.4 a couple of months ago. I have taken it back 3 times because it feels like it is missing, and is making a "tapping or knocking" noise. The dealership is saying that this is normal, and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. They also said they could let me listen to any other one that they had, and it would do the same thing. I have read about the phaser thing. That is what they are supposed to be replacing now, but did any of you have the truck "feel" like it was missing as well?

You might have an injector going out.
Pretty sure Ford sent out a bunch of letters to people with 05's because of potention injector failures.
