studder at acceleration

When i let of the clutch and start giving it gas it studders really bad. Once i hit about 1500 rmps it goes away. It will cruise just fine and run at high rpms just fine. I have changed all spark plugs and checked coil packs. Could this be caused by a clogged fuel injector? Any other ideas?

I suggest you post the motor you have in the truck. What plugs did you use and what did you pull out of there.

Sounds like the EGR valve is hanging or a low grade mis. Yes it could be the fuel filter or regulator. Go thru the common cleaning procedures along with general maintenance listed in the manual.

Use the search this forum option (top right) in the engines section for good info.

It sure can - you need to fix the causes of CEL codes before you can address drivability issues.

Yea , you need to run the right plugs before suspecting another area for problems. Autolites aren't a spec plug for your motor and many have run into the same problem that you have.

I would put the correct plugs that are spec'ed by Ford. These engines are picky when it comes to plugs.

Use the search bar , there was just someone last week with the same problem you have and he couldn't believe the difference in the way it ran with the OEM spec plugs in it.

You want to run the Motorcraft plugs and stay away from Autolite, Bosch plugs.

Which code did it have, large leak or small leak? A large leak can be something simple like a loose gas cap. But ditto from jbrew, use the factory plugs, they will run and perform so much better.
