Don't see that one much - Check the relay, I believe in the 98 PDB under the hood , you can swap that one with another to test. Reboot and see if the problem goes away. Or just test the Relay.

DTC - P0232

Possible Causes

Inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch not reset or electrically open
Open circuit between the fuel pump and the FPM connection to the FP PWR circuit
Poor fuel pump ground
Fuel pump electrically open
Fuel pump secondary circuits short to power
Fuel pump relay contacts always closed
Open FPM circuit between PCM and connection to FP PWR circuit
Damaged low speed fuel pump relay or concern with related circuits (if equipped).
Damaged PCM

Diagnostic Aides

Continuous memory P0232 can be set if the IFS switch was tripped, then reset, or if the fuel pump circuit is activated when the PCM expected the circuit to be off (i.e. fuel system test or prime procedure).

The 98 PDB - Disconnect battery /Swap #6 w/#7 / ReBoot

BTW - Yes , I would think that it's possible this could cause a misfire. Hopefully , it's the problem - You may have a chaffed wire shorting as well . Check the harness if the relay wasn't the problem.

Good Luck

thanks, i will check those out. were in the middle of a blizzard right now supposed to get 18 more inces, so i dont feel like workin on it today... so ill do my homework on the forum and get a better understanding of the system.

i have an edge evo programmer on level two with the canned tunes and i did not customize it, this could be the PCM problems. i will put it back to stock and check it out.

recently some a$$hole tried to put a beer in my tank, this is prolly another contributing factor. i found out who it was. ill check the relays, hopefully that will be the problem. the coils and plugs were changer bout 20k miles ago

thats some good info thank you for the knowledgable post. its great when i get those

It's snowing here as well , we are just getting 3-5 max - not squat really.

Yea , I remember reading about that beer story - Did you ever confront the dude? I can't recall that you did .

I doubt the beer would be an issue at this point. But once I was sure that most of it was out of the system , I would prolly reboot it anyway.

Good Luck

I got the P0232 everytime I would change the level of my edge evo.(older model) and not pull the pump fuse like it suggested. I went through all the pinpoint tests and never found anything, but once I cleared the code it didn't come back until I changed the programmer.

Well looks like you have a good start, The pulleys I love and am about to order the e-fans. I'm also lookin at a bbk performance elbow,http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QQB451760.html
and a 75 mm throttle body. I picked up some with the Accel Super EDIS coils and FRPP 9mm wires. As for mufflers, the dynomax bullets sound good but are loud, and theres magnaflow which sounds good but $$$. A good addition to the high flows would be a nice set of longtubes. But so far we have talked up about $1500, so its really down to how big the ole wallet is and oh can't wait for the tax returns and the money from Bush because of the shi**y economy.
