Camshaft???

Camshaft???

Anybody know how to make my truck have a good camming sound? Its a 04 4.6L. Like a good inexpensive camshaft or do I totally not know what im talking about?

nope lol.... you have 2 cams, and none of them are inexpensive.

No inexpensive cams for any modular. If you are just after the sound, create a vacuum leak, or rig a way to crack the EGR valve open. No, unfortunately there is very little for the modulars that are cheap.

take off the brake vacuum on the back of the throttle body it'll sound like it has a monster cam in it

Yea, I mean you won't need those power brakes.

Where would someone look who is willing to open the wallet and is looking for a decent cam for my 4.6 L (2004 NBS)

found some on Summit for like 500 bucks Comp cam extreme or soemthing.

LOL if you pull that vaccum your truck would be running SO LEAN you wouldnt want to even rev it up past 3,000 let alone drive it....and it takes about 50 FT to stop from 5MPH with no vaccum....*belive me i know* and it idles at 200 RPM with what sounds like a nice Cam lol

when it gets a lil warmer here ill pull the cut-outs off and take the brake vaccum line off it sounds like it has a huge cam in it lol. Ill take a video for ur guys. I think im going to be getting some 2003 4.6L PI heads 400.00 Some comp cams 508. and some new valve springs for 170. Then tunning and gaskets. Lookin to pick up around 90HP but thats a ways out i dont have 1,400 bucks just laying around
