no power

Hi all,
I have an 06 E350 box van(Company), with a 5.4, and auto. It has 68k miles.
I had cop5&6 misfires as well as low fuel pressure. These were fixed, and the unit was reflashed(don't know why).
When I received the unit back from ford, it has NO power. It will idle smoothly, and run up and light throttle o.k., but if you put it to the floor it will rev to 4to5k and sit there, you have to take your foot off the throttle to get it to shift. I can't pass anyone anymore and it won't do over 70 mph. It takes forever to get there. If I'm travelling 50 to 60 and hit a slight incline it bogs down, bad. They changed the MAF also with no improvement. When it revs way up and stays there, it spark knocks badly.
They want to put a recorder in it to see whats going on, as there are no codes.

Thanks
Ron

tooooo many quads to list

it sounds like a tranny to me. have you checked the fluid level? if the fluid looks like it has metal in it then it is the tranny.

trans checks out o.k.
It acts like a plugged cat would, except the cat is ok too.
I am driving it, just has no power, whatsoever. It had more power when I had the rail pressure error and random cop misfires.

The shifting problem sounds like a MAF prob. Does this still occur after they replaced it? The "No Power" sounds like the same deal or maybe the regulator.

Something is definitly not right with it.

This site may help you -

Great info their ^^^

Best I can do - Hope you get it figured out.

Good Luck.

on an o6 their is an electric throttle. they have had some issues but some people on this sight with 2004 's and 2005's just get them flash programmed and everything ends up fine from then on. i don't know for sure if an o6 still had those problems. i think the transmissions were still shifting fine but the throttle wasn't opening all the way.

That's right, I remember hearing something about that now that you mention it. I also recall in some cases the electric throttle deal had to be replaced.

I haven't heard of that happening recently - I'm thinking that was a couple years ago.

There might be more info in the 2004 + forum on this site. But yea, I remember there was/is a problem with that. Some kind of conflict between the throttle motor and PCM, I think it was ? Oh well, something like that.

A plugged cat on an 06 ? That doesn't sound right - was it busted up inside ?

Oh well, glad you got it fixed
