P0325

A search did not get me very far.
P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circ Error (Bank 1/1 Sens)
I will get this code from time to time, especially on longer trips. Back and forth to work, short trips, no problem. On the mentioned longer trips, I get the code and truck is gutless. Reset code, and it does not come back until I make another long trip.
Will this cost me an arm and a leg to get resolved?
Could the sensor be bad?
Can I replace it myself?
Anybody have this issue and what did it take to resolve?
2004 5.4 3V 4x4 65K miles
Thanks in advance.

Yea , haven't heard of that problem yet. The knock sensor on the 97-03 models are under the lower intake.

I'm not sure what to do about this problem , but can show you a location of the sensor -

The probable cause is the wiring or the connector. Check the wiring harnes to the Knock sensor and its connector, could also be the sensor heating up too much over the long period of time.
