Transmission change/ flush

I've got a question, I want to change the transmission fluid in my 04' lariat, 5.4L F-150, auto. Is it worth it just to pull the pan off and drain what I can and change the filter? Or, should I pay the price to have it flushed? By a reputable outfit.... I hate others touching my truck, that is why I want to do it myself but, how can I get all the fluid out of it without special equip.??? Can I just start it up and flush all remaining fluid? I know thats probably not a good idea but, I had to ask. Any help out there??? Is there a mechanic in the house?

Ehhh, prolly worth it to pay for the flush....... The stealership won't cost much more than Iffy Lube.
