Help! 98 f-150 blew out spark plug

I have a 98 F-150 that blew out the sparkplug and the threaded sleeve that is pressed into the head. I have been looking online and found a tool http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/hel5396-14.html that will allow me to thread the head and install heli-coil. I don't have alot of money to do this project and was wondering if anyone knew a cheaper way to go or possibly had this tool that I could borrow? The dealership wants $1200 to fix this problem and $1800 to fix it and replace the other 7 sparkplugs!!! Feel free to email me aronw@rocketmail.com

Thanks!!!

I forgot...it's a 5.4L. I don't think I want to go with a new head...it would be cheaper for me to buy the tool then it would be to run a new head. Here are some pics of my truck.

Thanks!!!

I would go the Heli-coil route, not to hard and alot less expensive. Very nice truck, it's almost what I see in my driveway everyday, except no lift and one foot of snow.

This is the recommended kit here, not Helicoil.

Plug should run you about $3 at the local autozone. Make sure you get Motorcraft. And I'm sure if you ask nicely there my be a cheap way of getting a COP off of someone here on the forum. If money is that tight. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

COP = Coil? I broke down and bought the tool so if anyone needs to use it or any of the 11 heli coils....let me know! I say 11 because I will be using 1 of them...the kit comes with 12. All i need now is a coil. Thanks guys! Any suggestions on where to get one? I read some where that ford has them for $70 but Kragen has them for $54....any other place might have them and are they specific to the cylnder? The one i am replaceing is 3rd one back from the front of the motor on the passenger side....3 i believe.

Thanks again

The same guy, Global Automotive, sells singletons too now I noticed, I think about $10 ea + shipping. I got all 8 delivered in 4 business days for under $100.
