Question for jbrew

I have a 2000 f-150 4.6 with 98,000 miles. It idles perfectly with no miss's in any rpm., I'm ready to change the plugs,(original plugs) Does it really make a difference with the new coils from global?, or could i re-use the stock ones? your input would be greatly appreciated

You have a Coil Over Plug system right ? I ask because some 4.6L's had just two coil packs - some didn't.

If your not having any problems, I wouldn't change them. My first set of new ones was @ 165,000 miles.

Yea, I would change those plugs though and make sure you get the Motorcraft replacements.

Sounds like a nice motor.

No problem.

Yea , I was real lucky with this motor. You should only need to replace the forward O2's and pay a little more for the OEM O2's if you have to. I couldn't keep fuel in the truck with some of the after markets I tried..If you need to order them online, let me know - theres only a few I trust for 02's (not Global).

The rears will probably last you another 100,000 miles.
