Problem
i have a problem and i have heard so many different causes and i was hoping someone on here could give me a definate cause of my problem and a fix for it.
PROBLEM
first thing in the morning i start the truck up it runs like normal when it is cold. when the truck warms up and i am just driving along and barely have the gas pedal down the truck begins to jerk and shake. it does it if i am just trying to accelerate or if i am flooring it, the only difference is when i am getting on it alittle it doesnt shake or jerk but in the sound of the exhaust you can her an occasional dead spot (no sound) for a split second. there is no check engine light. i attached a diagnostic to the truck and nothing.
POSSBILE FIX'S
1. i have been told maybe plugs and plug wires
2. i have been told fuel pump. i also was told that my 2001 supercrew 4.6 has 2 fuel pumps. one in the tank and one under my driver seat. is that true or is he jerking my chain.
3. maybe the fuel filter
4. or possibly the regulator.
please help i want to get this fixed before it causes more problems.
