Head Gasket??? Please help me.

OK, I went to the local Express Oil change and they showed me my oil filler cap. It had white milky looking crap all in it. They said it was from water being in my oil. Coolant and everything else was fine. They told me to drive it a couple of weeks and check the cap again to see if it happens again (they cleaned the cap and around it). I have an 04 screw with the 5.4 (72,000 mi). Is there anything else this could be other than a head gasket??? Will my extended warranty cover it if this is the prob? This has ruined my evening to be honest; I assume it will cost me a fortune to fix if it is the gasket. Thanks for any help guys!!!

Cool

HI!... Thats why I don't go to those minute lube places. They usually don't have the faintest idea what their talking about. Sounds familiar? LOL!

Anyway, you will get that milky residue if you do a lot of short trips in your vehicle and not allow it to get up to proper operating temp. It's just slight moisture that gets in the oil from the block. Nothing major. It happens to everyone.
