Reverse flow or conventional flow?

Does a 1999 F-150 with the 5.4 use a reverse flow cooling system or the conventional way? The reverse flow would be where the coolant flows from the radiator to the cylinder heads first before flowing to the engine block.

The manuals says:

The engine coolant flows:

* from the lower radiator hose (8286) to the water pump.
* from the water pump to the engine block and the cylinder heads (6049).
* thermostat closed, the coolant returns to the water pump.
* thermostat open, the coolant flows back to the radiator.
* to the radiator for heat rejection the back to the lower radiator hose.

conventional flow, heads to block flow is reverse and can cause thermal shock like in the late model LT1 chev.
