0 degrees won't keep running

0 degrees won't keep running

97 F150 auto 4.6.
Usually start with only key.
Today at +2 degrees F it kicks but won't
stay running.
If I hold gas a t 1000 RPM in about 40
seconds all is ok.

Any suggestions?

Clean up the IAC.
It's sticky at low temps and can't control the air bypass.
Your using your foot to do it until the IAC slowly moves then gets some motor heat.
