Diesel

Has any one ever done a diesel swap on a F150? probably more trouble that its worth but figured it would be and intresting topic! chime in anyone!

theres a guy on youtube with it done, not sure how though. theres basically no room in the engine bay now and a diesel motor is way bigger than ours. so idk how it would ever work. and its way way way heavier

yeah i figured it would have have a SFA to support the wieght and alot of fabrication! who knows if i had an old junker i might try it but not worth the money for my truck!

Go to Pirate4x4.com search 4BT swap and 6bt swap. Guys on there have swapped both into F-150's and IIRC there's a 6BT in a FSB. It's

Purely for the sake of conversation, take a look at the isuzu npr trucks. They have a 5.7 liter 6 cyl diesel that is rated at 300 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque for 07. Now that would move these heavy 150's.

Do a search on 4bt swap. Its the 3.9 mechanical injection cummins. Its been swapped into almost everything.

A 4BT Cummins would be a nice swap into these trucks. If you had a 4.2L or 4.6L and wanted to have some fun with your money...

What about 120hp/300tq for the newer ones?

the 09 f-150s will have the 4.4L diesels some pretty good power out of them 330HP and 515 FTlbs of torque. ive heard of a few 6.0 swaps but not how it was done or any of that.

Those are almost 6.0L Powerstroke numbers...

From what I've heard, it's more like 300hp/400-420tq.

I can't wait for it! The diesel F150 will hopefully be my next truck!

id wait till 2010 so they can get all the probs fixed you never wanna buy the frist model i want one wonder what the price tag is gonna be...
