Seat belt warning chime mute?

Just bought a new 2wd 04 4.6 xlt, 6'-6" bed, latest body style, with just about every option offered...Did not know where else here to ask..so here goes...

I thought that I heard that there was some type of procedure to mute the annoying seat belt chime that keeps going off unless the belt is always fastened...Anyone know anything about it...Thanks

I still got it on mine... I might take it off tomorrow... it's such an annoyance when I'm driving it around the field hauling junk. Ding, ding, ding, etc.. arg.

Surprised I've delt with it this long.

It's fine if you actually use the truck as a car where you might need to be reminded... but for farm/private land use it's annoying!

i did the little dance in my mustang to get it turned off, but i dont know if i want to turn it off in the truck.

im starting to like wearing my seatbelt EVERY SINGLE TIME along with all my passengers wearing there seatbelts. i never used to wear, its starting to grow on me. otherwise i can never get them to wear it. i dont mind if i go flying out of the vehicle, but ill be damned if i ever kill a friend.

Im not sure about new Ford Trucks, I just got it a few weeks ago, but in all my old Mustangs 2000-2005, the reason the buzzer goes off is because there is a weight in the seat that a sensor detects and alerts the chime to go off if you are not bucked. I forgot which cars it was and what yrs, but I remember just unplugging the weight sensor under the seat. Also, if you go to a junk yard and just cut the metal bracket off the end of an old junk truck, thewn just put that in the seat belt end you will be fine too.

In my 2001 F-150, if you just push on the button like you are trying to unbuckle the seat belt (with the seat belt not in the clasp), then it shuts the stupid dinging in my truck.
