TPS question
I have a 1990, F150, 300-6, e4od, pickup.
It has recently developed an engine miss, which seems to be causing the torque converter clutch to engage and disengage, almost non stop. While doing a little troubleshooting, I found if I unplug the throttle posistion sensor, most all the engine miss disappears, and the TCC problem also disappears. Of course I don't think the TCC even engages at all, when the TPS is unplugged.
My question is this, How are these problems related, and will a new TPS, cure both?
