Yeah the 6.5' beds have 27Gal. fuel tanks. I'll have to go look in my log book to see, it's in the low 300's though...

I used to be able to get about 400-450 a tank, then I moved out here to socal and I'm lucky to get 350. In my defense though, I do drive like I stole it.

I get about 250 with the 25? gallon tank. 1999 5.4 crewcab 4x4. I think it actually gets closer to 300 I have over sized tires so my speedo is off a bit. Gotta figure out how to calibrate it.. I usually dont get to where the light comes on I gas up at about1/4 tank 21-22 gallons

I get 650 miles per tankregularly and I got 725 with a tail wind on the interstate

YES 725 miles remember interstate, and tail wind

this is a 2006 supercab with 4.6, 3.55 rear, and 6.5 ft bed, came with the
17" Michelin tires, the truck is stock as it came from the factory, no mods.

yes 725 miles.

Oh did I forget to mention that I have the factory ordered 35.7 gallon tank

that beats all the 26 gallon tanks and even the 30 gallon tanks

Oh yea 725 miles per tank, try that with a 26 gallon tanks

after I did this I put 35 gallons in the tank

My 1999 F-150 would get 370 miles to 22 gallons of gas, doing 85 mph. 25 gallon tank.
My 2000 F-250 gets 380 - 480 miles on 30 gallons of diesel, and it has a 38 gallon tank. Never seen the low fuel light come on...

Uh thats like really really bad mileage! I would suggest a MAJOR tuneup. New 02 sensors, plugs and wires and even ignition coils!

the tank may cost to fill, but its once every 2 weeks or more. normal trip to work is 50 miles.

The tank is nice to have here on the gulf coast since when we get a hurricane, fuel supplies are messed up, even more so when the storm causes the Chevron refinrey in Pascagoula Ms to shut down

Katrina put the whole refinery underwater, it was 2 weeks before they reopened the racks to transport trucks, the Shell refinery in Mobile was able to function, in fact at one point all their production was dedicated to providing fuel to government agencies.

It got so bad that the City of Mobile and the County of Mobile had less than i days worth of fuel in its tanks.

the Feds and the state steped in and got fuel shipped in

Atlanta had shortages of fuel because there is a pipeline from the Chevron refinery in Pascagoula that goes directly to Atlanta, no fuel from the plant, no fuel in the pipeline to Distributors In Atlanta, the shortage was region wide as the plant in Pascagoula is one of the largest if not the largest on the gulf coast

with the large tanks on our trucks and the stash our tanks on the farm, we can go about 3 weeks with out refilling the storage tanks. We also plan for the storms and have every thing full of fuel, the cars, the trucks, the tractors, combiles, generators, and quite a few 55 gallon drums. Most of the 55's are stored with the generators and some are plumbed to the generators so we do not have to keep fueling them, the generators be thwy gas or diesel have extended oil capacities.

I get around 400 miles on a 30 gallon tank if I don't mash on it too much.

When it was stick i was getting about 350 or so per tank. Now with 35's im getting about 225 per tank. I got a 2000 with the 5.4 and a 25 gallon tank. Stock gears are still in it. They are either 3.55 or 3.73 i cant remember. It is mostly city driving too. Havent gone through a tank of only highway driving since i put the 35's on it.
