2000 F150 2v or 4v?
A quick question. l got a CEL just after the engine started to run rough. The code is P0304. A search led me to bad COPs (#4). One of the recommended places to buy is rpmoutlet.com but a search there for the proper COP ask if I have the 4.6/5.4 (2v) or 4.6/5.4 (3v)or 4.6/5.4 (4v). I can not find the info in the owners manual or the stickers under the hood. I suspect that I have the (2v). Is that correct? 2000 Ford F150, with the 4.6 engine. Thanks.
The the old body style GTs had a 32 valve (4 valves/cylinder) 4.6l engines.
The new body style GTs have 24 valve (3 valves/cylinder) 4.6l engines
The old body style F150s have 16 valve (2 valves/cylinder) 4.6l AND 5.4l engines.
The new body style F150s have 16 valve (2 valves/cylinder) 4.6l engines.
The new body style F150s have 24 valve (3 valves/cylinder) 5.4l engines.
Currently, the only 32 valve 5.4l engine is in the Ford GT Supercar.

And the Mach 1.

Nope, they are reliable and quick. Under-rated for sure. Back when I had one and was into fast cars, I saw a *bone stock* 5-speed Mach 1 run a 12.9x. Yes, I'm serious. That guy must have been one hell of a driver. They usually run mid 13's. The auto cars aren't near as fast, they have a different bottom end and don't rev as far. Had a friend with a stock 5-speed Mach 1. I always felt sorry for the guy in the LS1 next to us at red lights that thought it was just another Mustang--WRONG!!
