Does this MPG sound right?

I'm driving a 2001 Ford F-150 Supercrew. With the Lariat trim, 4x4. It has a 5.4L V8 K&N drop in filter, 3" Flowmaster 40 catback exhaust. 3.73 limited slip. Its got new heads and camshafts. running stock Goodyear Wrangler HPs 265/70/17.
Is this MPG right or is something going on? With this tank of gas I did go off roading, but I average around the 200 mile mark on a full tank of gas.

The Flowmaster would really affect it that much?

ya COP stands for Coil On Plug. basically your spark plugs with coils on top. your wires are what come out of the COPs. if they are old that could be causing your low mpg. you might want to have those changed. have they ever been changed before?

Or not. My MPG went up when I got my Flowmaster. What type of driving do you do? On the highway, my 4.6 F-150 would get 16.75 MPG doing 90. Around town? 13. What maintinence has been done? Ever changed the fuel filter?

or how about the air filter? I know my gas mileage will drop drastically when I don't clean the filter enough and it starts to get clogged up.

It's all in the driving - You should be getting 300 miles out of a tank.. I could have sworn my sticker said 14-17 mpg , I'll have to look for that..

But if I play around with it - I doubt it gets better than 10. You have to drive normally thru a whole tank to see what she's capable of..

My dad told me once he use to collect rabbit sh^t - he varnished it and then made necklaces out of it using fishing line. He would then give the necklaces to girls in school.

He said the chicks got off on it at first , until , well, you know how girls chew on sh^t

He was driving through the whole tank... he put in 22.5 gallons. He only has a 25 gallon tank...

Regardless , he should have been able to do 300 miles on 22.5 gallons IMO. That's what only 13.5 miles per gallon or close to it..

Agreed. That mileage should be 323, not 223.

If not close to that, you've got some kind of problem. So many variables or possibilities. Hard to diagnose without describing some other symptom.

Fuel filter has already been mentioned. BTW it ain't that.

Another favorite here is clogged cats. Oh my!
