Angry location of pcv on 03 4.6

truck began idling rough, and hesitates when accelarating...then service engine light came on...had it put on diagnostic at autozone, says misfire in cylinder 6, replaced all plugs and coil for cylinder 6, didn't help...was going to try pcv valve, but can't seem to locate it...not on valve covers...any suggestions would be great
thx

It ought to be on you're passenger side valve cover, a brown plastic pcv I'm thinking and the tube clicks in it. Otherwise it's the water heated pcv system on the same side with a few black hoses connected.

thanks for the info...the brown plastic piece, which i thought was the pcv, has one twist in thread, and i can't find a pcv with a thread...they are all just push in, even on the motorcraft website...is that not the pcv?
i tried the test of pulling the hose off, and putting my finger over it, but when i pulled the hose off the truck died...

Here's a pic of one removed - it's laying down by it's valve cover grommet.

The dates wrong on the photo - I didn't set the time yet

That was a couple months ago..
