5.4l EGR Valve replacement. Anyone have picture of engine?

Hi all, I am new to the site and I just purchased a 2001 lincoln Navigator. When I bought it the check engine light was on displaying code P401 I think it was. I bought a new EGR Valve and planned on replacing it. Problem is when I bought the "how to" manual the engine pictures were different then my actual engine. Does anyone know where the EGR valve is on my truck? Anyone have a link to directions on how to replace it?

Do you have a 2 or a 4 valve engine. Regardless you have to remove the splash shield to gain access to either one.

PS. Why are you changing the valve? A P0401 code can be caused by more things than a faulty EGR valve.

Yea that's not an EGR valve fault - PO402 is a popet valve fault (EGR valve).. PO401 is usually the EGR's DPFE Sensor -(Bad Sensor fault) It could be a dirty throttle body elbow port as well.
