I broke something!

So on a windy 2-lane road, there was a tractor. I needed to pass the tractor... there are two elements here.

1) It's a windy road, so i'll have to pass him fast
2) This is my first v8 w/ dual exhaust...so you bet i'm gonna hammer the gas

It felt nice. Too nice... then I smelled antifreeze like nobody's business.

Now it's been about 2 weeks. I looked in the engine compartment and spotted some antifreeze way down...way way down towards the front of the engine/radiator. I had to get down on the ground to see it better. Not sure what to look for here, but there were a couple parts caked with antifreeze. It looked like some linkage between the radiator and the engine.

It hasn't lost any antifreeze I don't think, but I can still smell it after driving the truck about 10 minutes.

So, what should I look for, and do you have any ideas on what this could be?

well sounds like either you water pump is on iy way out or you have a leak in the lower hose. The lower hose id not cheap and its kind of a drag to install. its 4 hose's in one..

Water pumps have a weep hole on the top - when they leak out the hole , it's time to replace..
