OBD-II code reader recommendation?

I'd like to get a code reader that can connect to my notebook. Anybody recommend one that isn't $300 and will work with the popular software packages available?

I've done some investigation, but cannot seem to find one with USB for less than around $150.

If you have a laptop here you go http://www.obd-2.com/#products

Well, you can use this on the home PC with a long enough cord. LMAO

I guess it all depends on what you will be using it on mostly and how often you will use it.

If all you need to do is read codes, most large auto parts stores will read them for you free.

"ereader" at less than $50 will read a lot of code.
Why get fancy with a PC not expect to pay the piper.

There are a bunch of "ELMSCAN" units on eBay for less than $100 that aren't expensive and connect to a PC via USB. I was looking for feedback on those. I guess nobody has used one...
