Toyotas suck. Yes a new tundra may beat an F-150, but they have a 5.7, not to mention 4:10 gears or lower is what they come with... Have you guys heard about the tailgates cracking or something like that b/c they were cheaply built?? Well anyways I think they are ugly, and I will stick with my F-150!

That's all those guys out there trust, and maybe old-school Land Rover Defenders.
I have to agree, while i was in Afghanistan we had some of the Toyota Hilux (Pretty much like a Tacoma) and they took a beating.

But now here, we got all fords, mostly Deisel Rangers, but a lot of F-150's also (gas) and they are holding up just as well as the Toyotas did. Those Deisel Rangers are pretty sweet, they take a beating and they get insane gas mileage

You can't compare a Tacoma to a 150 - apples and oranges. The valid comparison to a Tacoma is a Ranger.

Yes, one of the most durable vehicles in the world is a Hilux with a diesel or a 4 banger gas engine and manual transmissions. They are very spartan, rough, and slow. The Tacomas here with V6's and automatics are softened for Americans.

My brother is stationed in the Philippines, and Fords are really popular over there, especially Expeditions.

He currently drive a 2006 Ford Everest, which is a SUV based on the Asian spec Ford Ranger, and has a Duratorq 3.0L turbo diesel.

I traded my 97 F250 for a 98 tacoma, and traded that for my 97 F150, They are fun to drive but its definetly apples and oranges like glc stated. The power to weight ratio of the tacoma makes it fun in the mud, but when you gotta drive it in the winter it is nasty. The brakes are awesome, four piston calipers like a porsche, but you are stopping half the weight. The only good thing I could say about my Taco was I made $2000 on it and drove it for a year and a half.

That's funny , I just applied for a job at UPS. For a tractor trailer position. You still have to wear the brown UPS cloths even when driving at night

I was going south , but that fell thru. Actually , I'm kind of glad it did - hard to leave my two little ones behind..

No I didn't see Pinks - not the last one any way. It was in michigan?
