Question Stupid missfire... 06' 4.6

i even dumped those p.o.s. motoblue coils. and the miss is still here, it's gotten smaller, and less noticable, but its there still, not on acceleration anymore really, but at idle, and the weird part is, i've had it on the scanner at my shop a couple of times, and noticed that it only shows 1 upstreem 02, and 1 downstreem 02, instead of 2 of each, also i dont know how many of you know how to read a datastream diagnostic, but, my fuel trims show that long term trim on banks 1 and 2, are lean, short term is fine, around -2 to 3 on both banks, but long trim on both sides is jumping between 18 and 20?

any ideas??

You must still be under warranty.. I'd take that bitch back to the dealer and make them FIX it..

Lean is gonna fry things, make 'em address it...

There are several members here who can probably tell ya what's going on.. I'm not one.. LOL.. wait for them to chime in, I'm sure they will..

I'd sure make 'em fix it under warranty tho..

i'd love to do that, but im at the shop from 7am-6:30pm, mon.-sat. and both of the stealers nearby are closed by that time and arent open on sundays, and since i'm the service manager, i never get a chance to leave, i even work while i eat lunch, kinda sucks, but then again, my truck needs funding, and i love money

Hey, understood!!

But still, take a half-day off or get a friend or relative to take it in to the dealer and get that addressed while you have the warranty..

You understand I hope that your Edge coupled with the intake may very well be the cause of the lean indicators.. Edge as a plug-in tuner doesn't compensate for any CAI.. I believe that you may be able to call Edge and get some custom tuning emailed to you that you can download into your device to address having an aftermarket cai..

I'd sure give the Edge folks a call and lay out your concerns.. I bet they can help... and that they may be able to correct what you're seeing..
