Oil change question

I for some reason or another can't remember what the oil capacity is on my 01 5.4 SCrew. It's 6 quarts right? For some reason I am not sure and don't want to over or under fill during the change tomorrow.

Yup, quarts, liters, whatever, I've always put 6 bottles in. The owners manual tells all capacities too, it's technically 5.7 liters, so 6 is close enough.

Ok, thanks. I misplaced my manuals when I moved last month. For some reason lately I have been using 4s when I mean to use 7s... hell if I know why

Red, that's correct. Our V6's take 6 quarts.

Looks like its 6 quarts across the board. My 4.6 liter also takes 6 quarts.

You can download a manual in PDF format for nothing at www.motorcraftservice.com in the owners manual section.
