Unhappy 4th radiator

I have replaced 4 radiators in 4 years. I was told it could be "electrolysis" in the cooling system coming from a bad ground in the starter. I did the test, and sure enough the test indicated the starter was the cause.

Just wondered if anyone else has seen this.

grab a voltmeter. set it to DC. put one probe to the negative terminal on the battery and dip the other one in your coolant reserve. tell me what you get. should not be over 0.5 of a volt.

radiator replacement

Where is yours leaking? Have you found a replacement that lasts? Have you found the problem?

Any help is appreciated. I am going on my 4th.

Might be the water used to fill the system.
Won't go wrong for the small cost of getting it in jugs from the store.
My home water is ph acid and does a good amount of eating the plumbing over about 5 years time.

i know on some old tractors the radiator had to be grounded for the same reason.
i'm sure it is a ground problem somewhere
