Question Same Question Same Truck

Swim Bob,

I don't think we have one. I have been all in my engine compartment and can't find the PCV. The guys at Auto Zone couldn't find it.

I was feeling pretty dumb until I saw your posting...hopefully, someone will point us in right direction or tell us we're looking for something that doesn't exist.

Thanks, Tim

I'm finding 2 possibilities -

1. In the passenger side valve cover just behind the ignition coils.

2. In the passenger side of the upper intake manifold just behind the throttle body. It's metal and retained by two torx screws.

Thanks for the info.

I'll check the manifold theory and let you know.
By the way ,aftermarket doesn't have a pcv valve for this truck.
Ford wants 45.00 but they have to order it.I would like to see
what a 45.00 pcv valve looks like so I would know what to look for.
For some reason the dealer didn't even have a picture but I'm guesing it won't look like the usual pcv valve.

2 different pics - the first one looks like a cold weather package with coolant lines to it. The second one looks like a standard valve. Rock Auto lists 2 different Motorcraft numbers in addition to those 2 aftermarkets - one is EV251 at $8.53 and the other is EV256 at $20.79. I'm guessing that the Airtex 6P1122 at $6.27 replaces the EV256 and the AC CV5050C at $5.90 replaces the EV251.
