Engine Noise

Hey guys, I have been doin' some muddin' up in NY again, and well After the last time I whent, there was a very strange whine that started to occur. It goes along with the revs and sounds like a supercharger...but I don't want too just let it keep makin' this noise, has anyone ever had such a problem?

Belt/belt tensioner maybe? sounds like something on the serp drive, as you accelerate, engine drives faster, whine gets louder...had this issue on a 96 F-350 dump. turned out to be power steering pump, pulley was gone.

To me it sounds like your power steering pump. Is it any harder to steer or anything like that? Did you check the fluid?
