5.4 engine change

5.4 engine change

My 2000 F150 spun a rod bearing I have purchased a 2003 SOHC engine from a F250 it looks like if i switch intakes complete and oil pan oil cooler it should work is this correct also somebody said to lift the body to get the old engine out is this required it looks pretty tight in there Karl

you need to pull the ntake off to remove engine easier and look closely at the exhaust manifolds to see if they are the same as far as outlet angle and egr tube placement. Also check the manifold studs to be sure none are missing. then put the intake back on the engine once it is in the truck

You dont need to pull the cab. I Did my engine swap just fine, but dont try it with the intake manifold on, or even the exhaust manifolds, just keep as much room as possible.
