heater core

i have a 2001 5.4 and recently had the heater core replaced, about a week and half ago and it is already leaking. and have heard alot of other people having the same problem. is there any preventive mantaince to keep this from happening? i have also heard of putting a pressure regulator on the hose before it enters the core. any help would be appreciated thanks

Sounds like a defective part or labor. If you paid a shop to fix this it should have a part and labor warrenty. Labor up to 90 days and part up to a year maybe.

Heater core

I had the same trouble. I took it to the dealer 4 times. They finally had to
step down the flow through the core with a restricter of some sort. That seemed to hold as it 's been about a year ago.
