Ive never been so glad i changed a fuel filter

did a fuel filter change and K & N with a air box mod today. factory fuel filter...

i dumped it out and it basicly looked like someone vomited in my fuel filter. more brown rust and chunks that i have ever seen come from a fuel filter.

the airbox mod went well though. 5 mins with a dremel tool and a fiberglass wheel. shaved all of it off except the mounting legs and some area around them. cut like 8 lines near them with the dremel for a little extra airflow through the bottom. sturdy as ever. Plugs and wires on tuesday, i sure hope i get this idle issue under control.

Yup - good job.

Every 15K or so, or even more frequently if you know the tanks in your area are aging ...

its not that i put it off for too long, i just bought the truck and noticed a slight stumble at idle and decided to do a basic tuneup to fix it. ya know plugs wires filters etc...

right now its got a tank of 89 in it with a bottle of lucas fuel system cleaner. mostly sonoco or country fair(no idea who they buy gas from) i do stop alot on the indian reservation near me. despite what people say i talked to the fuel truck driver, he pumps the same gas from his truck into their tanks as off the reservation. they just dont have to pay taxes to buy it.
