No inspection on private passenger vehicles here in IN either. I have been here since mid '95, no such thing.

12 bucks every 2 years and my county does not check emissions, it's a cursory safety inspection done by a licensed garage. When I was in IL, my county had emissions inspections only, no charge, done at a state EPA-owned station by a contract company, every 2 years. Pre-OBD2 vehicles have to run on a dyno.

p1000

work on ford for 6 years we saw this a couple of times....do the drive cycle and when you make it to the dealership dont shut off the truck let it run till after the test and see if that works we had some here in texas that did the same and thats what we did and 100 miles is plenty to reset p1000

I'm not looking to debate drive cycle but all should know it's fairly complex in that the drive cycle has to start from a completely cold beginning so all those test routines are done, the accellerations and decellerations to test many functions, are made by the PCM as long as the conditions are present, to do so.
Just getting in and driving on the expressway a 100 miles won't do it.
Look up an indepth discription of drive cycle and see how complex it really is and that you have no idea at anytime, if you are driving correctly for it's successfull conclusion or if there is a problem preventing any one or more tests from completeing..

Dont quote me verbatum...In Tx it was around 25 bucks in the bigger cities, and 15 bucks in the smaller towns. Now, with emissions, I think its aroud 45-50 everwhere.

In GA, $25. If you don't pass and the repair estimate is greater than $738, they will exempt you.

In LA, $10, no emissions. Except in Baton Rouge Area, $13 with emissions.
