I have a 2002 s/cab 4x4 and I had, had this code on for a couple months, but I didn't post about it. Instead I did lots of research on the issue locating diagrams, electrical testing and paying attention to what the good fellows on this forum had to say. I finally found out what was wrong. The wiring harness near the front driver's side tire had been rubbing on the inside wheel well and two wires had been opened. A white was rubbed through to the copper and the red/yellow that goes back to the canister vent solenoid was nearly cut. I did some wire repairs and voila no more code.
