I may have just gotten a bad set to start with the ones I had in my bike.
You want new OEM' COP's for $96 (that's for all 8)- Go with Global - they even have a one year warranty.

The biggest reason is that over the last couple years or so , many here on this site have used them without a prob - they have the best record..

Yea , all the time for freinds - I'm using COPs from a factory parted out Crown Vic crate motor at the moment - via the Romeo Plant. But geezz , yea I purchased two sets so far and installed them on a 99 and an 01 with no problems - just don't order plugs from this guy(Kevin)- they get them wrong for some reason

Ok thanx again. So it looks like now I have it narrowed down to either motorcraft plugs or NGK V-powers. I would prefer to get a plug that is readily available at my local parts shops and all I can get are either these or the plugs I was told not to get.

Motorcraft or Autolites are the best plugs you can buy for your truck.

Autolites are NOT made per Ford spec - don't make that mistake like a few have..

That's why Honeywell makes them both - Motorcraft and Autolite . Ones Ford Spec (Motorcraft) Ones NOT (Autolite)..

Hey I was looking in your thread about the exhaust and I noticed you had Flowmaster 50's. I have a 40 on mine, (basically). Maybe that is why I am not seeing the problem you are. I wish I had the money though to test it out. I just did a cat back exhaust with mine.

40's are the worst - no offense. Does someone have that forum link which splains how Flowmasters are made and how they effect flow . MGD?

I can't find the darn thing ..

I tried Bossh and they sucked, made my truck run rough, I put in Autolite Dbl plats and the truck has never run smoother. I made sure I gapped them to the Ford specs in the Hayne's manual.

That's good and I hope it works out in the future as well - but with Autolites not being good enough for Ford - I'm not using them either, seeing how they engineered the motor.

Okay, I tried Autolites at one time and they failed within 40 miles - I wrote Honeywell who makes them . The info I provided came from them.

Here's a pick of what happened to the Autolites when I ran them - If you look close at the pick you can see how hot they got by the discoloration . Motorcrafts have never looked this way -

Use the Motorcraft Platinums for your truck, mine didn't like Bosch at all.

New COP's,Plugs, and get rid of the Slowmaster and it will run like a new truck!!Nice truck BTW!!!
