what is the HP difference between the PI and standard motor

On the 5.4, the 1997-1998 non-PI engines had 235hp/335tq, and the 1999-2003 PI engines had 260hp/350tq

Yup , in 99 other changes went on as well - the throttle body linkage pulls from the bottom(98's from the top) and the PDB was reworked.

they also went to a single temp sender on the intake manifold and changed the coolant flow
