smog pump squeaking

on my 92 f150 with 302, i thought the idle pully was squeaking but after replacing it i sounds like its the smog pump, after adding some wd40 it would stop for about a min or so tell it burnt off, so is there a way to make it stop with out having my by a new one?

Sure your belt aint just bad? WD40 should not have silenced it really if a bearing is bad in the pump. I would try replacing the belt and if that dont cure it replace the pump. Are you sure its comming from the pump? Ive had the tensioner fail on a windsor powered van I had. WD 40 is BAD for belts by the way. Once they get allot of oil on them the dont grab good anymore.

When you took your serpentine belt off and put it on did you notice if any of the other pulleys were moving because my smog air pump is moving to the inside when I put the serpentine belt on and then when I let the tension loose it slightly moved back not completely all the way back just slightly back

I had a 93 Bronco that did the same thing, drove me nuts. I tried everything and finally just swapped out the belt which took car of the problem.
