Sounds like C.O.P's to me too. After mine went, I kinda figured something wasn't right and kinda narrowed it down to them. I saw alot of rusty dust color on the outer boot on #3 and since I had a spare set, replaced them all. It was a good idea to have a spare set because them failing or just needing replacing was and is inevitable. Dielectric grease in the boot could help in the meantime.
That's I think what did it for mine was a huge puddle so dielectric grease them and see if it helps. Shop places for coils though because they are cheap (online) and expensive (dealer). I suggest Motorcrafts, but others like different brands.
well i m going to pull the plugs sat. and prolly replace the wires as far as i know they have never been changed... i also have got to put ball joints in it this weekend if i m going to replace the upper ball joints and control arm should i go ahead and do the bottom ones also... what is the c.o.p? and how much are they...
if i take that somewhere what is that going to cost me? i ve been reading all these threads bout broken plugs, i changed them once before but i don't remeber it being as bad as everyone is posting... but i need it done soon and i would like to the average price before i make that decision...
