need some help here guys... power steering...

ok, i blew i a power steering line (my pressure line) about 2 weeks ago and i replaced it with a new one. well, it's been leaking ever since whenever i turn my wheel all the way to the right or left.

threw it on a lift today and was going to change the orings, because i thought i may have pinched one. well, autozone told me the oring i needed was this little black one, yet when i pull the hose off, it has a teflon ring on it.

my truck: 2002 ford f150 5.4 2wd

this hose is spewing out around the NUT where it connects to the pump. help me out here guys.

how in the heck do these orings go on here, and which ones do i use?

the teflon ring is on the side that screws into the pump right?? i just did my pressure line a few weeks ago also. it was starting to seep, anyway.the rubber o ring just goes into the box.i thought that was weird that the pump side had that plastic/teflon piece. make sure its not crossthreaed and it in there straight and tight.

yeah but the oring that i got from autozone is way small, if i just put it in the box it will be loose in there.

i stretched the teflon washer out so that it fit over the threaded side, but th end doesn't slide back or anything for the rubber o-ring...

confused as hell here

the rubber o ring is just a standard size. any hardware store has them. bring the hose with you. as for the fitting that goes into the pump.its that plastic washer looking thing that came with the new hose right?? is that the part thats to small?? i dont know man maybe my 97 is a diferent hose setup than yours.possible they gave u the wrong hose. i think 4.6 5/4 use the same pump. send some pics if you can.
