are these heads the same?? and if they, will the COP's swap?? i am looking for some new COP'c and having a hard time finding some for the 5.4. any suggestions???

 

I have heard the same thing. I have heard that if you have the Triton engine, that the 4.6 and 5.4 heads are interchangeable.

If this is true - what prevents pulling some parts of a decommissioned lightning and putting it on my supercrew?
I'm kicking myself for not purchasing the 5.4... I just didn't like the paint jobs on the harleys. I also didn't like their leather interior.

I'd be interested to know what you find.

 

I don't know about the 3V heads but the 2V heads are the same and will swap 4.6 to 5.4.
The reason you cant put an Lightning top end on your 4.6 is the manifold.
4.6 block is shorter then the 5.4 block so the 5.4 intake is a little wider. Heads are the same!
