power help

power help

Someone out there help me! When I put on my wheels and tires I lost alot of power. Now I need to get it back for pulling my boat along with light trailers etc.. Someone please tell me my options, my truck feels like a turd.

What is your gear ratio? If it is below 3.73 that is why it's so slow now.

Yup. The bigger the tire, the taller the gearing. Maybe consider 4:10 or 4:56.

Agreed ^^^ The tow settings help out quite a bit. You might want to upgrade your intake and exhaust .

Off course you can't beat a gear change . Dollar for Dollar , that will benefit more than any other mod for that problem.

I drive this truck daily is there a downside to changing the gears, like gas mileage.

You may even improve your gas mileage with lower gears.

You never thought about this before you put the big ones on?
How did you think the motor was gong to account for this by it'self?
Let's see; the total cost of the tires and wheel plus the cost of gears and installation! Ah,you can afford it.
