PCV Waterlines

Not sure what year Ford started this, but a reminder that the 2 hoses around the base of the PCV are coolant lines. Make sure to release radiator pressure before disconnecting them.

What happened ? It blow out ? I have those on my 98 and never released Rad pressure before disconnecting - you have to plug the lines quick tho , as soon as you lean on the top radiator hose a little , the coolant flies right out of there I'm sure your aware.

I didn't think they used those past 2000 ? The 01 I use from time to time has the 5four with the main vac supply in place of those .

Those were called the Cold Climate PCV system I believe.

What kind of gloves are those? You do a little proctology on the side torkum?

When I bought the truck back in June noticed some extra grime around the PCV and finally got around to changing it tonight. Almost forgot about the coolant lines and thought I would post a heads up for the newbies to our sport. O yea, I have a gyno practice at night in the Lowes parking lot brew you remember those 2 girls that took your wallet?

They pop out like all others, you just have to remove the clamps off the hoses.

Your talking about these two correct?

I just wanted to make you all aware of a Home Depot Scam that I got caught up in. Make sure it doesn't happen to you! As a "heads up" for those of you who may be regular Home Depot customers. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you.

Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your truck as you are packing your shopping into the bed or cab. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask you for a ride to another Home Depot or Lowe's. You agree and they get in the back seat. On the way, they start having sex with each other. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and performs oral sex on you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen November 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, & 24th. Also, on December 1st, 3rd, twice on the 7th, three times just yesterday and very likely again this upcoming weekend.

So please be careful!!

That was awhile ago , but I remember and will never forget

Oh that's different - mine is hooked directly to the throttle body.

Those PCV valves in your picture suck!! No good, very restricting and noisy compared to the Motorcraft. That looks like a Fram lol. Well those can tick pretty loud - sounds like a bad lifter , if we had any..Thought you might wanna know.

Yea , I think all Motorcrafts are black , like the one on the left in the pic. The pic isn't as old as the date says - I didn't set the date in the camera.
