Talking This is funny....

So ever since I moved up into Flagstaff after living my whole life in the desert, I tell my wife I want a 4X4. She says go ahead. So I find one on auto trader that I like and I go to the dealer to look at the truck I have been looking at. Looked good. I had a 2000 F-150 7700 SCab with 99000 on it. Great truck, no problems except the alternator that I changed out. Sad to see it go but four wheel drive is in my future. I was looking at a 2002 F-150 SCab FX4. Good truck, good price. After sitting for an hour of the salesman going to the manager to "see if he can do that for me", I get a good price for my old truck. Deal signed, I am new owner of a FX4 F-150. The dealers mechanic hops into the old truck, starts her up and heads to a sister dealership. Ten minutes he calls up for a tow, ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS HAS JUST BLOW OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. Talk about great timing, and I still do not know why the mechanic did not find that problem before signing the paperwork, but I am not complaining.

If it had been a private sale, I would have given the money back. I just think that for once in my life, I got one over on a auto dealer. I just can't believe that it happened that way.

They can fix that at cost, and they still made money on the deal.
But that is perfect timing.
