Most dealers will charge around 700-800 per side!
I have a 97 4.6 5 speed,4x4,est cab, 8 foot box, had to replace both sides. But other than a few minor things, great truck, rusty but only 88,000.
I pull a 88 Shasta 19 foot TT, loaded is probably around 4500 lbs. Pulls well for 281 CI engine ina heavy truck.

Good luck!
thx bianconi. I'll take pics of the exhaust manifold (if you tell me where it is!) when we pick it up.

it has 2 chrome cheater pipes coming out the back. is the exhaust manifold back there or up near the engine?

edit - husband just told me they are on teh side of the engine I'll take pics
