Chester is a farmer - he's outstanding in his field..........

Yeah, I know, old joke, but appropriate when he disappears all summer.

If you redid the whole truck...NOW your talking. Full Ligtning drivetrain, kick *** suspension, nice interior........
Kind of like restroring a muscle car, only its a newer pickup.

thats what i was thinking.

i know, fresh into college i wont have 30,000 plus for the next truck i want.

so i could sink a good 10-20 or so in it. over time, and restore it. and yeah i know new tranny and suspension and whatnot, and that truck is VERY lightweight, i know it would be fast.

i meant like a total rebuild on the truck, because who would expect a truck like mine to hold a beast?

thanks for everyones input!! glad to know you guys read my posts lol

I wouldnt want a 350 in a truck that new either. A nice mod motor like Built suggested/is doing is soooo much better if you ask me.
my truck has 191k. i havent had it for more than around 50k and yes the motors weak. yet the trans and transfercase are in good shape, run clean, do need a new seal between the 2 tho. suspensions been replaced, wheel bearings new... you still think its old and wore out? didnt cost an arm and a leg either?

You kind of answered your own question there. "motor is weak", "need new seals", "replaced suspension", "new wheel bearings"....yeah, Id say its starting to get old and worn out.

By the time your truck has 200k on it the 6.2L V8 engine will be on the market.

My truck has almost 220,000 miles on it. And it is considerably faster now than it was when I bought it. Granted I'm running a higher octane fuel, and a tuner, but it just goes to show how well they hold up.
original cop's
original injectors
original maf
original muffler

6.2L? Small fry!

Why stop at 6.2L?

I walked past a 429ci w/C6 tranny in a salvage yard the other day! That's 7.0L to you guys! That jewel would look sweet in my F150! Would THAT qualify as a mod?

And, before you start bashing it? If you've never sat behind a 429SCJ, you're not qualified!
