98 f-150 cooling system problems

98 f-150 cooling system problems

Need help with 98 f-150 cooling system.Started with rusty coolant. Flushed sytem. 2 days later coolant leking out of cap. Changed thermostat still leaks out of cap. Replaced water pump. Gurgle noises in dash. Temp gauge shoots up.I stop and it goes down.Replaced cap no more leak. Temp gauge shoots up after starting truck. Mechanics have it and have no clue. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

is the gauge shooting up right after start up??? could be a electrical issue with that. sounds like you still have some air in there somewhere. did you do a COMPLETE flush?? block and everything?? what motor do you have??

Air in system, and maybe some gunk is still in there blocking some journals?

It's a 4.6. I've had it flushed 3 or 4 times during all the work.

Many full flushes. Maybe put in new radiator
