Thanks Q & LabNerd! You guys apparently have forgotten more than I will ever know. Prob will start with the 5-20 and check gas/oil usage after 2k and then go from there, thanks again.

 

To each there own LabNerd. Thanks a lot for that info, I am going to throw all that at my SWEPCO rep next time he is in (if he has a good response I can repost). I am on a SWEPCO kick because that is what we use in our high-performance Mercedes benz vehicles (mostly AMG, some Unimog). I have seen a ton of tests first hand and watched SWEPCO out perform a ton of oils (such as Castrol Syn. Mobil Syn.) This shop has used it with great results and thats been the case here for the past 20 some years.
Labnerd, wondering if you know much about the John Deer Oils? Mobil delvac? Will I have the same issues with the high TBN (with JD)? Again thanks for all this info, your knowledge of these oils is mighty impressive and I do appreciate it.
