When I turn the Key I hear the fuel pump for like a half a second and thats it..Gonna run a fuel pressure test on it tommorow and see what I got..n e suggestions beside that..Like I said I shut it off the other day in the drivwe and i was fine.. Now it wont start..There was a Pats prob back in the day.. is there anything I do to reset the PCM>.I am gonna check out the inertia shutoff 2morrow and see if that Didnt trip seein how I am on airride

Does the engine turn over? Does it sputter?

Check battery voltage too and tell us what that reads.

The short run of the fuel pump is normal - just pressurizes the system. The pump won't run any more until the engine starts, or you turn the key off and back on. Also, the inertia switch would kill that half second fuel pump run. If your anti-thieft light is flashing, I would bet on the PATS system being the cause.

No Start at all

I cannot get it to start at all. It will turn over, and strongly I might add, but will not start. I hear the fuel pum when the key is turned on, but not starting. I pulled one of the plug wires from the coil packs, and held it close to the socket, seems there is no fire. It has done this before, but usually it just starts after sitting a bit.

If its been doing this from time to time i would GUESS its the crank sensor. they start going bad and then one day they just go out.
It could be many things so i would get a manual and start troubleshooting the different components.

Flametamer, I know that you pulled the sparkplug off and not spark, you heard the fuel pump cycle. You also need to check for injector pulse. Disconnect a injector plug and install a test light called a noid light and crank to see if there's a pulse given by the noid light flashing, if no light then we know the crank position sensor or the cam positioning sensor, and (or) the PCM is failing to give you your signal requiring spark or injector pulse. try that to see if it puts you further down stream!

What was the PATS problem?
