Ive got some money saved up and was wondering what to do with it. I have a 99 f150 w/ 5.4L and 130k. SI/DO 2.5" flowmaster exhaust and an intake. 6" fabtech lift, 37" toyo's. no chip, no gears, thats it. Wondering what i should do next other than fix my exhaust leak. what would you do, full tune up? new plugs, coils..etc....

Well I was going to say save another 2000 and do the Lightning conversion.
But in this case I'll have to say go with the gears!and fix your exhaust leak.
Gears is one of the best mods I did to my truck.

If it were me, I'd go to the track and double it. Hell, superchargers aint cheap you know. Seriously, I would buy a take off Lightning blower assembly off ebay, less than 2 grand, like 1200 I think and piece together till I had a complete deal. I would plan on beefing up the tranny too. All saqid and done, it's probably like 4g's for this but 2g's is a good start.
After you achieve getting the blower off ebay, these guys have the rest of the stuff -

I also beefed my tranny thanks to Troyer , mine tuned with hardware, the best way IMO..Only thing I had to do is make my accumulator body separator plate and drill the appropriate holes - absolutely no slippage now..

With the F150 online discount , it was $80 ..
