5.4 PI head swap possible?

I have a 2000 F150 with 5.4 SOHC Work package + the 7700 package.
Wondering if the heads are worth that 40hp ford puts on the new one's.
I have an exhaust sitting in the garage ready to go on, but i'd like to make a weekend outta doing the truck stuff and hit both with one stone.

SO junk yard PI heads?
Maybe port and polish stock heads? (i've done before, but only on 5.0 mustang)

I also will be doing down the road:
Headers, Intake, and tuner.
Probably nothing more than all of that, but when i tear into the heads, who knows.

Yep. '99 and up 5.4 2V are rated 260hp/350tq while '97-'98 are at 235hp/335tq.

Are you, by any chance, talking about the three valve heads on the new 5.4s? The HP rating on these engines is 300 HP, but I would imagine it would be quite an expensive change over: Different cams, engine management system, etc. I'm not sure it would be worth it, even if it is doable. I think I would get a blower from a Lightning or Harley Davidson model before I tried to go to three valve heads.
